Plus GoGo Daijiro tries his hand in a 3000hp alcohol-fuelled FunnyCar! 2006 D1GP ROUND 1 The D1GP is the world's premier drift championship. This season's opening round was held in the United States. This course, originally used for NASCAR, eats up the tyres in just two laps. Watch the fully tuned 500-600hp vehicles slide their way across the tarmac in a fury, spitting up smoke at full throttle! The contenders better bow down to Irwindale's concrete walls. Even some of the top drifters fall victim to the new course layout which sends them screeching to the barricades. US's finest strut their stuff against the Japanese drifters as the grandstands shake the earth to seismic proportions. D1 USA VEHICLE SPY SHOTS Drift machines are popping up all over the world now.
